Earlier today, we let you know that a Bait x Dreamworks x Diadora six shoe collaboration was in the works. We also let you know that we knew about one of the shoes what was going to be a part of that said collaboration. We now give you a detailed look at the Bait x Dreamworks x Diadora S8000 Kung Fun Panda -Copa
This three-way collaboration consisting of 6 different shoes celebrates the Copa América Centenario, which is the 100 year anniversary of the international football tournament that will be held in the United States for the first time. The first shoe to be unveiled is the Diadora S8000 done in a Dreamworks’ Kung Fu Panda theme. The made in Italy shoe is constructed out of of a Black and White premium pony hair upper accented by the hits of leather placed throughout. If you place close attention to both sides of the shoe you will notice that the medial color blocking is inverted from the lateral. All three brands have their branding placed on the insoles, while Diadora branding appears exclusively on the tongue. Stepping it up a notch is the custom box packaging that has Po doing his thing on the lid of the box. You also get flat waxed black and white laces to put the finishing touch on your shoe. Said to be releasing May 28th at all BAIT chapter stores, as well as online via raffle. Limited to only 300 pairs worldwide, let us know if you’re looking to pick up a pair.

Author’ Take

It’s pretty nice. While I do understand the use of pony hair to mimic the look of Po, I just can’t get down with a shoe that rocks that material. Aside from that, dope looking collaboration.
