For years, fans have been calling for the return of the Air Jordan 10 “City Series” Pack. Originally launching during the 94-95 season as part of Michael Jordan’s break from basketball/baseball sabbatical, the team-themed AJ10s of jersey inspiration saw the storied franchise spread its wings beyond MJ and the Bulls.
Back but different, the 2016 campaign begins with the Air Jordan 10 “NYC” installment. Far removed from the White/Blue-Orange edition that laced Hubert Davis and coincided with New York Knick apparel, this black and gold take appears to draw more from street fashion than famous franchises — tougher to tell the local inspiration, but perhaps accurate commentary on the sneaker game in 2016.
