Arc’teryx has introduced four new technical models to its footwear roster: Norvan LD 4, Vertex Speed, Norvan Nivalis, Konseal — all designed to enhance performance when navigating rugged, mountain terrains.
Launching in March, the Norvan LD 4 is the latest iteration of the Norvan franchise. Evolving from the LD 3, the new silhouette features a low profile form, comprised of an abrasion-resistant and breathable Matryx® upper, coupled with a 45C dual-density midsole construction and Vibram® Megagrip outsole — ensuring a stable, responsive performance that will boost its wearer’s confidence.
A progressive hybrid shoe, the Vertex Speed draws inspiration from both trail runners and mountain climbing shoes. Featuring a zoned outsole built for a range of trails, the shoe is equipped with a shock-absorbing midsole, stretchy knit gaiter as well as laminated TPU reinforcements for durability and protection. Launching in April, the Vertex Speed will be available in mid and low versions.
Embodying a durable and high-performance-oriented design, Konseal is engineered to withstand heavy loads in the toughest terrains. Featuring an improved heel hold to minimize discomfort and prevent blisters, the shoe will be launching in July, available in nubuck leather and GORE-TEX versions.
Crafted for training and adventures in wintry conditions, the Norvan Nivalis features a weatherproof design with an over-ankle gaiter, complete with GORE-TEX invisible fit to block out snow and rain while keeping feet dry. Releasing September, the shoe’s lugs are thoughtfully built to ensure traction on mud and snow, while also being compatible with winter running spikes.
