English soccer club Chelsea F.C. has left adidas to sign a new apparel deal with Nike, but it didn’t come cheap.

Chelsea was currently in a 10-year 290 million pound deal with adidas that still had seven years remaining. So what did they have to do with part ways? According to Bloomberg, Chelsea paid more than 50 million euros to break the contract. Their new deal with Nike will pay as much as $87 million (60 million pounds) per year over a 10 year span that begins in 2017.

Adidas and Chelsea had been partners since 2006, and renewed their agreement for 10 years back in 2013.
