Clipse is set to release their first album in sixteen years this week, and Pusha T has apparently leveraged his adidas partnership to get an official collaboration between the two. Check out the “Thorn” Samba, coming soon.
Pusha T’s partnership with adidas reaches back to 2014, when the Virginia rapper released his first project with the Three Stripes, a crisp white pair of the EQT Guidance ’93. Since then, Push has worked on a number of releases with the German brand, and is constantly rocking new and exciting releases ahead of the general public. The last drop from the two came in 2020, with several pairs of the Ozweego in colors designed by King Push, but with a new Clipse album on the way, they’ve created a special sneaker to celebrate the release.
Pusha T and his brother Malice originally formed their rap duo, Clipse, in 1994. The two had a successful run through the early 2000s, before their last album in 2009. Now, sixteen years later, the two have reunited to make new music, with Let God Sort Em Out releasing this week. This week, Push shared an early look at a special-edition adidas release to accompany the album, a “Thorn” edition Samba. Featuring the silhouette’s extended tongue version, the Thorn branding on the tongues likely nods to the duo’s surname Thornton, and comes in a crisp off-white shade with plain white accents.

The first collaboration from Clipse and adidas has not been announced for release yet, but is likely in the works for a 2025 arrival. Featuring the Samba in a neutral off-white color scheme with Clipse and Thorn branding, pairs will likely be available from both adidas and select retailers. No pricing info for this project is currently available.
