German rapper and artist CRO has just unveiled a new footwear collaboration with Zellerfeld titled the MARS MELLOW.
Known for his future-facing music creation and his out-of-the-box approach to style, CRO takes inspiration from a slew of mediums. For example, this latest creation from the musician draws from the concept of being “trapped in paradise,” a core theme of his creative imprint, trip.
With this in mind, this new collaboration from CRO merges the notions of “freedom and boundless creativity with space-age design.” Aesthetically, the latest shoe from the collaborators is a chunky silhouette, with its outsole resembling a moon boot. Meanwhile, the shoe was first presented in Tokyo and comes as a statement that aims to “bridge the gap between Shibuya and Mars.”
The accompanying campaign also aligns with the otherworldly nature of the sneaker; it’s shot by renowned photographer Geray Mena and is set in a Martian landscape, further encapsulating the outer-space theme throughout the creation.
