Donovan Mitchell and the Cleveland Cavaliers managed to reach the second round of the NBA Playoffs this year, falling to the eventual champions in the Boston Celtics as injuries involving Mitchell and many members of his supporting cast held the team back. While the franchise is expected to retool its roster heading into the 2024-25 season, Mitchell has been working on a project of his own. Teaming up with adidas Basketball, he’s assembled his sixth signature shoe with the Three Stripes — the adidas D.O.N. Issue #6.
Channeling his “Determination Over Negativity” motto, the D.O.N. Issue #6 is designed to emphasize Mitchell’s electric play on the court. Backed by Lightstrike Pro at the forefoot and Lightstrike at the heel, energy return is prioritized while a new lockdown design at the midfoot ensures stability when cutting. As for the remainder of its upper, an anatomically-fitted shape and breathable mesh focus on comfort.
Release for the adidas D.O.N. Issue #6 begins on July 5 via adidas and select retailers at a price of $120 USD. While the Three Stripes hasn’t specified which looks will launch, it’s safe to assume that all of these pairs pictured here will be hitting shelves before the NBA returns for the 2024-25 season.
