DTLR and New Balance always seem to have something fun ready to go. This week, the two have unveiled their latest collaboration, which leans into the holiday spirit with the 2002R and 990v6 in “Tinsel” inspired colorways.
The DMV’s DTLR has a strong collaborative relationship with New Balance, regularly releasing exclusive colors of some of the brand’s most popular models. Their projects usually transform the sneakers with bright colors and vivid storytelling, and the latest collab is no different, arriving just in time for the holiday season.
DTLR’s latest release leans into the eccentric side of holiday decorations, dressing up two pairs of New Balance sneakers for the “Tinsel” pack. The 2002R and the 990v6 are both present, though the latter will only be available in kids’ size runs. Both shoes feature a dark yet glimmering mesh underlay, and are layered with metallic silver overlays and a splash of red to complete the look.

DTLR and New Balance have scheduled their latest holiday-themed release to arrive next week, on November 27th, 2024. Featuring the 2002R for adults and the 990v6 for kids, the silver and red styles will be available from the store’s website, with prices set at $145 for the 2002, and up to $130 for the v6.
