Fear of God Athletics’ line with adidas is getting ready to officially unveil the next evolution of their collaboration. Lucky for us, photos of the new flagship performance shoe, the Basketball II, have already leaked.
Jerry Lorenzo’s highly anticipated switch from adidas to Nike came to fruition during the 2023 holiday season, with the debut of the first Fear of God Athletics collection. The project featured a range of apparel and sneakers, with an emphasis on performance particularly with the One model intended for basketball. Now, roughly a year later, they are gearing up to reveal the Basketball II, the second performance shoe from FoG.
New images this week of the Basketball II come from Shane Ward, a footwear design director at adidas. These photos are our best look yet at the model, showing off details like the exaggerated Three Stripes borrowed from the Predator football boot family. The pair seen here is a new “Night Brown” color, pitting both its mesh pieces and the seemingly suede outer layer in matching tones. adidas and FoG branding both appear on each heel, with a ripple pattern outsole to complete the look.

The debut of Fear of God Athletics’ second flagship shoe with adidas has not been announced yet, but is expected to launch sometime in December 2024. Seen here in its “Night Brown” color scheme, the updated model will likely be available exclusively through the Athletics website, and is expected to come with a similar $250 price tag as its predecessor.
