Another colorway of the Nike Air Max 1 86 has surfaced. Dropping later on this year, here is a first look at the Nike Air Max 1 86 Blue Safari.
Much like the recently released Nike Air Max 1 ’86 OG Big Bubble University Red, the Nike Air Max 1 86 is a version of the Air Max 1 designed and made to look like the original production run in 1986, before the Air Max 1 dropped in 1987. This Blue Safari iteration of the model comes dressed in a Light Smoke Grey and Diffused Blue color scheme. It features a mesh base paired up with textile overlays, suede Swooshes, and the timeless safari print used on the mudguards. Elsewhere you will find the signature “Nike” branding on the tongue labels, insoles, and heel embroidery all while being topped off with the longer visible Air unit in the heel atop an aged-like midsole and Blue rubber outsole.
Retailing for $170, look for the Nike Air Max 1 86 Blue Safari to drop in the coming months at select retailers and Nike.com. For a complete guide including official photos, release dates, pricing and where to buy, visit: Nike Air Max 1 86 Blue Safari.
In release news, will you be going after the Air Jordan 1 High OG Washed Black on June 10th?
UPDATE (6/6): The Nike Air Max 1 86 “Blue Safari” aka “Lost Sketch” will be releasing on June 16th via SNKRS and select retailers for $170.
Lost and found. Open the vault. Make “what if?” a reality. Pulling details from a long lost notebook, this Air Max 1 brings one of Tinker Hatfield’s early drawings to life for the first time. Originally conceived in ’86, the design brings history into the now with a worn aesthetic on the leather overlays and aged midsole. Safari print on the mudguard and a ‘hand drawn’ graphic above the Nike Air window round out the story of pulling pages from the history books, while shades of purple and blue mix with Light Smoke Grey for a colorway that’s a dream come true.
UPDATE (6/5): New images of the Nike Air Max 1 86 “Blue Safari” via Bodega which is currently expected to release on June 16th.
