ASICS and HAL STUDIOS® are back at it again, continuing their creative partnership with a fresh take on the GEL-KAYANO

20. Originally launched in 2013, this reimagined version combines modern vibes with the iconic stability trainer, giving it a sleek, futuristic twist inspired by the Space Age. Think advanced comfort meets bold, standout design—perfect for your everyday style.

Back in the ‘50s and ‘60s, space exploration wasn’t just about rockets; it inspired a whole wave of cool designs, from smooth lines to innovative materials like moulded plastics and fiberglass. HAL STUDIOS® taps into that same forward-thinking energy to create a shoe that’s as functional as it is eye-catching.

One of the biggest updates? The traditional laces are out, replaced by three hook-and-loop straps for a clean, modern look. This design was inspired by vintage gems discovered at ASICS’ HQ in Kobe, Japan. Add to that breathable wide-open mesh, recycled leather overlays, and those sleek straps, and you’ve got a shoe that’s both futuristic and easy to wear.
