Following a closer look, an editorial perspective of the upcoming Slam Jam x Asics Gel Lyte 3 6th Prill is now presented.

As the title suggests, this rendition of the silhouette is actually the sequel of their previous 5th Dimension collaboration which launched back in 2010. As stated by the Italian retailer, this particular model is a darker rendition of the aforementioned pair, where shades of grey and black represent the unknown existence of tribes worldwide.

Accents of blue on the heel and orange on its inner lining provide a nice touch of contrast, while the midsole is treated in a gradient finish.

Rounded out with light grey-colored leather formstripes on the side panels, you can purchase a pair at select Asics retailers overseas first on Saturday, May 21st, while a stateside release is imminent.

I’m a fan of the silhouette but I don’t like the overall execution on this pair. Minus the blue accents, I think it would look a lot better.
