Louisiana’s favorite sneaker shop is back with another collaboration, as Sneaker Politics teams up with Reebok Classic for the NPC UK “Storyville”. Often using local history for the inspiration on their collaborations, Sneaker Politics pays homage to the former red-light district of New Orleans known as Storyville. Active from 1897 to 1917, the sixteen block area of New Orleans was a designated zone for prostitution, which was still not officially legal, but tolerated and regulated by the city. Politics draws inspiration from the typical interior design elements of the brothels in seed yarea, featuring a premium quilted red leather upper accented with a red-on-red paisley pattern on the insoles that reference the red velvet walls of the houses in the neighborhood. The special edition NPC is completed with a gum rubber outsole and D-ring lace eyelets that hold the flat waxed laces. Get these exclusively at Sneaker Politics this Saturday.
