New Balance Tokyo Design Studio is known to produce elevated takes of the brand’s lifestyle offerings, and this season, its version of the 574 is being brought back to the frontlines. Only a few colorways of the contemporary model have been brought to life since its inception, and this newly-unveiled “Vachetta Tan” colorway is one of its most luxe yet.
The most prominent feature of its upper half is its leather overlays that are positioned around the toe boxes, on the quarter sections and along the heels, all of which are fitted with a “Vachetta Tan” outer. Sitting beneath these panels us is a layer of herringbone-patterned cotton that pokes out across the collars, toe boxes and tongues. Attached to the lower end of the heel is a mold that comes dripped with a creamy finish and debossed with an “NB” logo. Semi-chunky midsoles pieces are divided up between beige and gray stripes while a toothy outsole strings everything together with a tan paint job.
Parties who are keen on copping these can find retailers like Up There stocking them right now for $205 USD.
In other sneaker news, streetwear retailer Concepts is releasing the New Balance 9060 “Workwear” and “Indigo” colorways early.
