New Balance’s retro 1000 model has had some time to settle in to the brand’s current lineup. Now, more in-line colors are starting to emerge, including a shiny “Metallic Blue” style, coming soon.
New Balance’s 1000 retro returns in 2025 with a new wave of colorways, after its initial return last year. The model has had a number of special-edition collaborations, as well as plenty of in-line colors with unique blocking and styling. This week, we have our first look at one of the new pairs for Spring ’25, which brings a heavy dose of metallic finishes to the Y2K-era silhouette.
With Spring coming just around the corner, New Balance is shifting into brighter and more eye-catching color schemes to fit the Spring & Summer palettes. This week, we have an early look at a new pair of the 1000 that features plenty of head-turning metallic finishes. The pair features a black mesh base with matching interior lining and midsoles, adding its overlays in Metallic Blue and Silver. The latter makes up the eyestays and tongues, while the lower half’s swooping mudguards come in blue.
