Nike Sportswear will release the Air Max 1 Low Poly “Donkey Kong.” Officially known as Big Head Origins, the shoes are not an official collaboration with the Donkey Kong franchise. However, there are plenty of details throughout that connect to the iconic video game.

This Nike Air Max 1 features a Light Chocolate, University Red, Hemp, and Sanddrift color combination. Multiple elements throughout this pair will connect to Donkey Kong. First, we have a hairy Brown suede on the upper, mimicking his fur. In addition, Red and Yellow details pay homage to his tie. The rough cuts throughout and edgy design are a nod to video games’ graphics in the 90s. We also have a pixelated Nike logo on the tongue, a banana peel graphic, and “DS” coins on the insoles, representing the DK coins you collect in the game. Other details include another coin on the heel, a rating label on the inside of the tongue, a Yellow midsole, and a Brown rubber outsole.
