Nike showed off an unusual new silhouette during this Summer’s SNKRS Showcase event; the Air Max Waffle. Combining the Waffle Racer with a Tuned Max sole, pairs are finally arriving this season, including a new all-black style.
This year’s SNKRS Showcase livestream from Nike was chock full of brand new releases coming throughout late 2024 and Spring 2025, giving us a wide range of both retro and new styles to keep track of. One of the most unusual things they showed off was the Air Max Waffle, a new hybrid silhouette mashing up two iconic Swoosh technologies.
The AM Waffle takes the upper and waffle tread pattern of the classic Waffle Racer, splicing in a Tuned Max midsole under the heel to combine some of the best sole technology Nike has ever created. The model was initially teased months ago, and is finally releasing this month. After its debut in the “Action Green” color scheme, Nike will release a much simpler, all-black “Anthracite” style. The only flash of color on this pair is the bright orange Swoosh on the tongues.
NIKE AIR MAX WAFFLE “BLACK” RELEASE INFORMATION
Nike is set to debut their mashup Air Max Waffle silhouette this month, with at least one style slated to release on November 26th, 2024. The all-black style gets this date from overseas retailer BSTN, but will likely be available globally around the same time, releasing from both Nike and select stores for $140.
