Nike Basketball’s G.T. Future in “Copper” Drops Late 2025

The NBA All-Star Weekend wrapped up on Sunday, and brought us a wide range of new sneakers to be excited about. One of the biggest unveiling’s was Nike’s new performance basketball model, the GT Future, seen here in a new “Copper” color scheme.

Saturday morning brought us a fun surprise form Nike, with the brand unveiling a brand new silhouette on the feet of Wale at a special event. At the time, very little information about the shoe was made available, until designer Frank Cooker showed off some closer images of the new model. Originally thought to be an evolution of the Foamposite line, the model is now known as the GT Future, and the next step in basketball footwear.

While we now know the name and price point of the Nike GT Future, the shoe is not expected to debut until the Fall 2025 season. However, new colorways have started to emerge, mostly courtesy of legendary designer Frank Cooker. The pair seen here comes in a “Copper” color scheme, which covers the single-piece, shell-like upper in a shimmering purple and copper tone. Swooshes are added in white, while a black interior and silver outsole complete the new look.
