The Nike KD 18 “Eggplant” will be released on August 7, 2025. Highlighted in Vivid Purple, the pair borrows the Purple iridescent detailing from the Foamposite One. The retail price is $170.

Nike Basketball and Kevin Durant continue to impress with his current signature shoe, the KD 18. One of the upcoming drops is known as “Eggplant,” which may look familiar to some. The pair takes a page out of the Foamposite book, which isn’t the first time we have seen a KD inspired by the silhouette.

This Nike KD 18 is dressed in a Vivid Purple, Black, and Hyper Pink color combination. While the pair isn’t identical to the Eggplant Foamposite, it does feature a similar shade of Purple on the TPU panels with an iridescent finish. Allowing this pair to pop, it features a Hyper Pink mesh on the toe, which gradually transitions to a darker hue on the panels and tongue. More iridescent is used, but this time on the KD tongue branding and Swoosh. Along with Zoom Air cushioning, the look is completed with a translucent rubber outsole.
