Nike SB’s Dunk Low Pro B May Return Next Year

It’s no secret that the Nike SB team owes much of its recent success to the SB Dunk Low as the silhouette shines on thanks to its many in-line colorways and sought-after collaborations. While the brand continues to expand its offerings of new silhouettes with looks like the SB Vertebrae and SB Ishod 2 hitting shelves this year, it would seem that the skate division is set to revisit the model that started it all — the Dunk Low Pro B.

As noted in our timeline of the Dunk and SB Dunk back in 2021, the Dunk Low Pro B was introduced in 1999 with a new padded mesh tongue, elastic straps and extra padding elsewhere — benefitting skaters with its supportive build. With it quickly gaining popularity amongst sneakerheads, the Dunk Low Pro B evolved into the SB Dunk Low that we know and love today, ushering in the Sandy Bodecker-led Nike SB line.

While the SB Dunk Low remains a key part of the brand’s offerings each season, the surfacing of a modern Dunk Low Pro B sample points to an imminent reissue of the OG style. In our brief preview of the “Parachute Beige” colorway, it notably sports the silhouette’s shape with a tongue tag carrying Nike SB branding. Its signature light brown hue covers a majority of the sneaker in suede while a complementary off-white hits the stitched midsole and a gum outsole rounds things out.

At the time of writing, the Nike SB team has not shared any details pointing to the return of the Dunk Low Pro B next year. However, it remains anticipated to touch down on shelves next spring via Nike SNKRS and select skate shops at a starting price of $125 USD.
