The NBA All-Star Weekend wrapped up on Sunday, and brought us a wide range of new sneakers to be excited about. One of the biggest unveiling’s was Nike’s new performance basketball model, the GT Future, seen here in a “Matte Black” style.
The sneaker world took over the San Francisco Bay Area this past weekend to celebrate the NBA’s All-Star Game. Footwear brands descended on the fog city to host special events unveiling and releasing new sneakers, limited-edition collabs, and more. The high point for many came on Saturday morning, when Nike’s upcoming new basketball shoe began to make the round online. The GT Future first appeared on the feet of Wale at the youth basketball showcase in Oakland, before being officially unveiled later that day.
Among the first looks we got at the new GT Future was a stealthy “Matte Black” color scheme. The model was seen on the feet of AJ Dybantsa, a top high school prospect from Utah Prep. This pair’s coloring differs greatly from the reflective orange pair worn by Wale or the shimmering Copper style teased by Frank Cooker, and instead opts for a muted, matte finish. The look also sports some silver accents for the Swooshes to complete the look.
