Nike to Introduce the V5 RNR at $90 USD Price Point

Nike has experienced it’s fair share of turbulence this year as struggling sales numbers led to the eventual resignation of CEO John Donahoe. As the brand looks to build new momentum with its newly-appointed CEO Elliott Hill — a 32-year veteran of the Swoosh — one of its new budget-oriented models has just been spotted, introducing the Nike V5 RNR.

Priced at a relatively affordable $90 USD, the V5 RNR not only tackles pricing complaints, but its retro flair taps into the recent popularity of ’00s runners from brands like ASICS and New Balance. Its initial set of three colorways begins with two white and silver looks that are accented by green and gold respectively. Both of these pairs leverage the shoe’s layered build — one comprised of mesh and synthetic detailing — in a way similar to how Nike’s aforementioned competitors utilize their runners. From there, an all-black rendition of the new sneaker offers a stealthy approach.

At the time of writing, Nike has not yet announced the V5 RNR and its release plans. Stay tuned for updates, including news of additional colorways, as the new silhouette is currently expected to drop in early 2025 via Nike and select retailers at a starting price of $90 USD per pair.
