This summer, the Olympic Games take place in Rio de Janeiro. While Nike will certainly be looking ahead to innovation (see past progressions such as Flywire, Flyknit and Nike+ technology), the Swoosh often looks back to celebrate previous Olympic glory in the form of retro releases. According to noted news breakers Dino Hatfield and Sneaker Dave, the Nike Zoom Flight 96 is on that list.
Said to release as a retro in Penny PE form with the #6 on the back, this colorway debuted in the 1996 Summer Games in Atlanta and is yet to comeback in the patriotic pantone.
