Nike is preparing a special release of their iconic Air Max 95 for an upcoming SNKRS day celebration. The new style has been given a color theme of the shoe being unearthed by erosion, and cast in earthy shades for an asymmetrical look.
Nike’s annual SNKRS day celebration is coming up, usually marking the release of their releases app in the UK and Europe with special releases, restocks, and livestream events. This year’s event is around the corner, and the Swoosh appears to be cooking up something special with the Air Max 95 for the occasion with the new “Erosion” style.
The upcoming “Erosion” Air Max 95 appears to be an interesting new test from Nike, with “aimax” branding appearing on the shoe’s insoles and box. Designed by Sergio Lozano, the shoe’s original designer, the new branding indicates the color scheme could have been created with the help of AI, with the prompt “Nike Air Max 95 as is unearthed by the process of erosion”. The shoe features an asymmetrical color scheme, with earthy brown shades on the media sides and shades of purple for the lateral layers.

Nike’s new special-edition pair of the Air Max 95 has not been officially announced yet, but is expected to release on September 30th, 2024. With a color scheme inspired by the idea of unearthing a pair of the shoes from the process of erosion, pairs will be available from both Nike and select retailers.
