Nike continues to expand its Air Max 1 offerings with a new colorway. First introduced in 1987, the shoe has now been a staple in the sneaker rotation. Revolutionary at the time with its visible Air cushioning, the Tinker Hatfield-designed shoe has come in various hues over the years. Prepping for this summer, the silhouette now arrives in a “Guava Ice” iteration.
The latest edition sees the popular silhouette come in a blend of sail, guava ice, phantom, black and coconut milk color scheme. The shoe is constructed out of a mesh white upper, featuring suede, guava ice overlays for contrast. Giving extra breathability with the mesh, the suede accents hit the mudguards. The shoe also features a debossed branding on the tongues and heels while it sits atop a two-tone rubber outsole to round out the shoe.
Look out for the Nike Air Max 1 “Guava Ice” arriving later this summer at select retailers and online at Nike for $140 USD.
