This special iteration of the Li-Ning Way of Wade 7 is inspired by the pig’s role in traditional Chinese culture – and its representation of happiness, luck and good fortune. As a result, the Way of Wade design team set out to combine bright shades of Yellow, Green and Pink to create a colorway that would convey the celebratory and hopeful optimism inherent with the dawn of any new year. Noteworthy, stylistic design details are found throughout, such as: the inclusion of a 3M reflective brand logo; subtly printed ‘coordinates’ found in the ankle area – one referencing Chicago, Wade’s birthplace; the other referencing the location of Li-Ning’s Beijing headquarters; mis-matched, colorfully printed PU insole inserts; and more.
Retailing for $200, the Li-Ning Way of Wade 7 Year of the Pig is set to drop on February 13th. You will be able to find them at two New York locations, atmos in Harlem as well as the upcoming Solestage store.
