Essentially a modern version of the Gel Lyte 3.1, Ronnie calls this new silhouette “the evolution of what I wanted to see Asics’ lifestyle product become.” Featuring new Asics’ top of the line performance tooling on the sole, Fieg mentions that “the 3.1 represents a progressive approach when working with Asics on presenting new products and silhouettes to the world.”
There will be 700 pairs released of the Ronnie Fieg x Asics Gel Lyte 3.1 Super Green at a retail price of $200. There will be three different renditions of the 3.1 released throughout this year (with this being the first), and after that, they will disappear forever and the silhouette will never be seen again. The shoe will release on Saturday, May 21, at Kith Manhattan, Kith Brooklyn, and KithNYC.com. There will be two opportunities to secure a pair of either model prior to the official public release – one will be for in-store purchase and the other will be for online. Make sure you stay tuned to Kith’s website for more details next week.

Honestly I like the Gel Lyte 3 better with the original sole. I’ll be passing on these easily.
