Not it’s not an OG colorway, but the Air Jordan 1 High OG David Letterman still appears to be getting a good amount of attention due to the unique inspiration behind the shoe. With the release date being only one week away, today we get another official look at the latest Air Jordan 1 High OG set to drop.
Inspired by the tracksuit that Jordan wore during his first appearance on the David Letterman show, the shoe comes dressed in a full Light Crimson leather upper contrasted by the Midnight Navy patent leather hits placed on the collar and Nike Swoosh. More Midnight Navy hits can be seen on the laces, nylon tongue and outsole. The OG Nike branding on the tongue comes in University Blue to complete the look of the upper. Lastly, an all-white sole unit and insoles that read “On Air” as a nod to Jordan’s first appearance on the David Letterman show complete the major features on the shoe. The inspiration is “different” and so are the colors used on the Jordan 1, but it’s not really something I’d consider picking up. It’s not a bad looking shoe, it’s just not for me.
