The Air Jordan 11 “Purple Rain” Honoring Prince’s Legacy Is Sold for $100K USD

Jordan Brand created a one-of-a-kind Air Jordan 11 “Purple Rain” to pay tribute to the legendary musician Prince. However, due to his unexpected passing in 2016, the shoes never reached him. This ultra-rare sneaker remains the only pair in existence and was recently listed and sold for an astonishing $100,000 USD.

Drenched in deep purple, the design captures Prince’s signature style. A luxurious suede upper and tongue pair seamlessly with plush velvet mudguards, elevating its opulent appeal. The opaque purple outsole enhances the regal aesthetic, while a crisp white midsole and matching tongue lettering create subtle contrast. Metallic silver Jumpman logos add a final touch of elegance.

Inside, the sneaker holds a unique tribute. Custom insoles feature “Jumpman” in Prince’s iconic font, alongside falling rain graphics that pay direct homage to his legendary song, “Purple Rain.”
