We’re not even a third of the way through 2024, but Jordan Brand‘s 2025 lineup has already started to leak en masse: after it was revealed that the Air Jordan 5 “Black Metallic” was primed for a 2025 return, it’s now being rumored that the Air Jordan 12 “Flu Game” will make a comeback of its own. A black-and-red iteration of Michael Jordan‘s 12th signature sneaker that got its nickname from a flu-addled MJ’s legendary 38-point performance against the Utah Jazz in the 1997 NBA Finals, the “Flu Game” originally released that same year and was last retroed in 2016.
Thanks to its Chicago Bulls-esque black and red color scheme and its rich history, the “Flu Game” is one of the most iconic Air Jordan releases ever. During its last retro release, it garnered $20 million USD in sales in a single day (and, hilariously, was spotlighted in a special campaign with comedian JB Smoove). That 2016 retro is pictured above, as no images of the purported 2025 model have been revealed, but a joint report from Sneaker Files and zsneakerheadz indicates it’ll touch down sometime next spring.
