In celebration of the upcoming 2016 Summer Olympics, which will be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, a new take on the iconic Air Jordan 5 is presented to perfectly evoke the spirit.
Punctuated by metallic gold accents prominent on the tongue and jagged portion on its midsole unit to reflect the first-place medals given in the ceremonies, the silhouette’s majority build is comprised of pristine white leather upper, while tonal black graces the inner lining and remainder of its midsole.
Further detailed with its distinctive netting on the quarter panels and goldish lace locks to coordinate with its theme respectively, an icy translucent outsole finishes off the composition.
Retailing for $190, you can purchase a pair at select JB and Nike accounts on Saturday, August 13th.

Author’s Take
I’m a fan of the silhouette in general. I really like the execution on this pair. I’m biased towards the clean upper and how the gold accents are subtle.
