One of the most popular colorways ever for the Nike Cortez is the leather construction in white with red and blue accents–made even more famous with their appearance in the film Forrest Gump. Now Nike Sportswear offers a new take on that classic color scheme, with this new version that flips the placement of the red and white while also darkening each shade to Midnight Navy and Gym Red. The result is a color scheme that seems to fall right in line with the “USA” look, which has us wondering if these were made with this summer’s Olympics in mind. Arriving now at select overseas Nike Sportswear retailers, we hope to see this “USA” colorway of the Cortez here in the States soon.
