Kevin Durant continues to demonstrate why he’s a shoo-in to join the NBA Hall of Fame some day as he’s put up at least 30 points in three of his four contests to start the new season. Equipped with his Nike KD 17, which debuted back in May after the Phoenix Suns quickly fell to the Minnesota Timberwolves in the Playoffs, Durant is looking to help lead the Suns to a fruitful postseason this time as he charges forward in his 18th season in the league.
While the 36-year-old star shines bright, his latest signature sneaker has been regularly spotted in new colorways. The latest look to hit the net sees Durant and Nike embrace his “Slim Reaper” nickname, alluding to his slender build and prowess on offense. The theme was previously embraced by the KD 16 earlier this year and dons a similar-yet-distinct look this time around with the KD 17. Its orange and black color scheme is Halloween-esque with bold “SLIM REAPER” text hitting the heel in a similar fashion to its predecessor.
At the time of writing, Nike has not yet disclosed when next year’s “Slim Reaper” colorway of the KD 17 will be dropping. Stay tuned for more details, including official imagery of the kicks, as the pair is currently expected to drop in early 2025 via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at the model’s typical starting price of $150 USD.
