Slam City Skates retailer is celebrating their 30th anniversary, and as most of you know, Vans is celebrating their 50th anniversary. They thought it was a good idea to link up and come up with a couple collaborative pieces as a way to celebrate together. Centered around the Vans Native and Vans Lampin, check out this Slam City Skates x Vans collaboration.
The Vans Native and Lampin were chosen because the two years that these models made their debut, (’88, ’93) were also important years in Slam’ history. The shoes will come in either off-White or tonal Black colorways with upgrades that include Vans’ Pro Skate technologies, Duracap and Ultracush. Tonal laces, branding and lining complete the aesthetics of the shoe. The Slam City Skates x Vans Native and Lampin will be available in-store at Slam City Skates and online beginning October 21.

Author’s Take
Not too familiar with these models, and although you can’t go wrong with tonal colored sneakers, I just wish it had a little bit more to the shoes being that they are a collaboration.
