Todd Snyder and New Balance have worked on enough collaborative sneakers to know what works. Following on from their joint 997 “Triborough,” 992 “From Away” and NB 57/40 “Stony Beach” models, among several others from seasons past, the duo has reunited to introduce the 574 Legacy “Parchment & Pine” Pack, an outdoorsy reinvention of one of the footwear label’s most-storied silhouettes.
Snyder’s take on the 574 Legacy features an upper that combines sharp leather with hairy suede, along with a furry iteration of New Balance’s “N” motif on the lateral side of the design. Meanwhile, the midsole is pumped with EVA foam and ENCAP cushioning for maximal comfort, with support from a durable polyurethane rim.
For the color story, Snyder drew inspiration from New York City’s Flower District during the holiday season. Where the “Parchment” colorway is a brown tone reminiscent of the street’s parchment paper used for wrapping floral arrangements, the “Pine” colorway appears in deep evergreen, nodding to classic holiday foliage that lines the block this time of year.
First brought to the market in 2022, the 574 Legacy champions the success of New Balance’s classic 574 silhouette, which entered the footwear scene in 1988. The modern model retains most of the original design’s specs, though it boasts a slimmer profile and an updated midsole and outsole, as well as more elevated materials for enhanced durability and comfortability.
The Todd Snyder x New Balance 574 Legacy “Parchment & Pine” Pack is now available to purchase exclusively at Todd Snyder stores and on the brand’s website for the price of $120 USD. Take a look at the design in the gallery above.
