Under Armour, the global brand known for athletic performance gear, is excited to welcome Douglas Costa as its newest global athlete. The Brazilian football star, famous for his speed, agility, and creativity on the field, has signed a two-year deal with Under Armour, complementing his contract with Sydney FC in the A-League.
Costa’s impressive career includes 31 international caps for Brazil, with appearances at the FIFA World Cup and Copa América. He’s also earned 24 club trophies, including the FIFA Club World Cup with Bayern Munich in 2021, and has played for top teams like Shakhtar Donetsk, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Grêmio, and LA Galaxy.
As part of his new role, Costa will be a key figure in Under Armour’s football and sportstyle campaigns, bringing his athleticism and style to the brand. He’ll also be featured in the upcoming UA Shadow Elite 3.0 campaign, showcasing Under Armour’s new football boots designed for maximum support, comfort, and agility.
Costa has already made Under Armour part of his daily life, especially with the UA Apparition footwear, which he’s been wearing off the field. His partnership with the brand will help connect Under Armour with football athletes and fans while continuing to inspire new trends in sportstyle, drawing from European football culture and adapting them for the Australian and U.S. markets.
